What does Young Talent do for you?

How nice would it be when you knew early on what you are here for! Then you can organize your life quickly around it. And maybe you don’t need to go on a long quest with all kinds of side roads. When you know your mission in life, you immediately can make the right choices for your future. This starts with a good choice for education or occupation.

How does Young Talent work?

You will discover and meet your talents. That is a fun adventure. Then you will find your own answers, see what your talents are, what they can do for you, what they ask from you and how you can best put them to use. This game is not an examination or a test. It’s a party. We look at what you can do well instead of what you’re not good at. Then you gain insight in the direction of your life. Where does your life want to go to?

How do you use Young Talent?

The game is designed for youngsters from 11 to 18 years of age. It works with two boards, talent cards, assistant cards, theme-and growing cards. With this you quickly can get on the table what the issues are in your life. And you can see right away who or which talent is able to help you with it. Then you can take concrete steps forward directly.

What are its working forms?

You play the game individually with me or a certified young talent coach. In three sessions of approximately 2,5 hours each. But it can also be done in small groups of youngsters who know each other well, like friends, members of sport clubs, school classes etc.

Backgrounds

The Dutch version Jong Talent is developed by me together with Ofkje Teekens and Willem Hanhart in 2010. There is an English translation of the entire game: Young Talent.
